We have included below the Festive Season closures for 2022/23 of those countries our clients travel to regularly. However, please keep in mind that changes may occur without prior warning. It’s best to send requests to info@visaszone.co.za or jhbinfo@visaszone.co.za should you have any questions.

See estimates for December closures below:
 

• Angola Cape Town – Closing 15 December re-opening 9 January. No further applications will be taken until the new year.
• Angola Johannesburg – Closing 20 December and re-opening 9 January.
• Australia – closed Christmas and South African Public holidays.
• Canada – Normal Christmas holidays
• China – Hong Kong has opened its borders to international travellers. The Consulate will be closed on all South African public holidays.
• Dubai – Please take note that UAE Immigrations will be closing from 30th November 2022 to the 5th of December 2022 for their yearly public holidays & accept applications again as from 6 December, but will be closed on all South African public holidays.
• Egypt – No updates yet, but generally closed on South African public holidays.
• Japan – Closed 16th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th December and 02nd January.
• Madagascar – Closed 16th, 26th, 27th December and 02nd January.
• Morocco – No updates yet, but generally closed between Christmas and South African Public Holidays.
• Mozambique – No updates yet, but generally closed between Christmas and South African Public Holidays.
• Nigeria – Closed between 28 December and 2 January.
• Rwanda – No updates yet, but generally closed between Christmas and South African Public Holidays.
• Schengen Consulates and Lodgement Centres – Will be open, only closed on South African Public Holidays.
• Senegal – 26 December until 2 January .
• Taiwan – Closed 16th, 26th, 27th December and 02nd January.
• United Kingdom – Only closed on South African Public Holidays and working with skeleton staff (May impact processing times).
• Uganda – Closed from 15 December until 5 January.
• USA (no updates yet, but generally closed Christmas and South African Public Holidays.
• Vietnam – Closed 16th, 26th, 27th December and 02nd January.
• Visas Zone will be closed from 19 December and re-open on 9 January.
